Elite Soccer Performance has developed a four-phase program to evolve athletes to an elite level. The E.S.P. Training System addresses every aspect of the game: athletic performance, technical, tactical, and psychological development. Providing individual, small group, and team coaching, we create a competitive environment to bring out the best in a soccer player. We are dedicated to our clients and their individual goals, and are honored to share in the successes our Elite players.

Owner James Perkins is a former Division 1 soccer player at Central Connecticut State University, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Exercise Science.

 

In addition to owning Elite Soccer Performance, he is currently the Head Goal Keeping Coach at CCSU, Assistant Coach for the New England Mutiny (UWS), and Head Coach for CFC Valley 2003/2004/2008 Girls. He was also the former General Manager of CT United FC (ASL) and former Trainer of CFC Azul (PDL).

Shelbie coaches 1 on 1 technical training, 1 in 1 personal training, and small group training. 

 

She is a former Division 1 soccer player at Central Connecticut State University, and  holds her Bachelors degree in Strategic Communications. During her time at Central, she received her CJSA 'E' coaching license, and has coached all ages of soccer at the travel and premier level, both boys and girls for the past 4 years. Prior to CCSU, she played for SoccerPlus/FSA.

Kellie is the E.S.P. Strength & Conditioning Coach. 

 

She is a former soccer player at Springfield College, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and minor in Coaching. She is holds her Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College. 

 

In addition to her experience at Springfield College, she has completed Strength and Conditioning internships at Yale University, University of Central Florida, and Parisi Speed School. She has had experience in coaching soccer as a volunteer with the Middletown High School Girls Soccer and Springfield College Men’s Soccer.

 

Kellie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, certified in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and a certified Personal Trainer through NETA.

Bami coaches 1 on 1 technical training, 1 on 1 personal training, small group training and group classes. 

 

He former Division I soccer player at the University of Hartford. In his senior year he received the outstanding senior scholar athlete award. Before playing at Uhart he played for Cedar Stars academy in NJ in the developmental academy (DA) which was coached by TabRamos, who is the current MLS Houston Dynamo head coach.

 

Before joining ESP he was a trainer for Soccer Specific training in NJ (SSTNJ). He has also trained players who have went on to play in the MLS, Europe, USL and Division I soccer.

 

Bami is currently in his second year of the doctoral program for Physical Therapy at Uhart and will receive his doctorate in Physical therapy in 2022. He holds his certified strength and conditioning specialist certification (CSCS).
